Exploitation Strategies

A requirement of EU grant funding is the research results must be made available to achieve FP7 objectives, in this case Patient Safety.

Where possible the EU prefers commercial organizations to establish successful businesses, based on the value add of the research results, and preferably SMEs based in Europe.

In our case we describe this process of implementation to:

• improve patient safety and health care outcomes
• reduce relative health care costs
• create a successful business capable of providing the technology to global markets and make profits in the process

as “Exploitation”.

We intend taking a phased approach to exploitation which will take the shortest and lowest cost route to revenue, in that way achieving funding to support the subsequent phases. Each phase will stand alone as an independent business proposition whilst building toward our grand design.
